Once again we are approaching National Census Day - a very important day in the school year! As you may be aware, all schools are at a risk of reduced funding from the Government, one of the ways in which funding is allocated to schools is by the number of children eating school lunch (this also includes children entitled to Free School Meals) on three predetermined dates in the academic year, the next one being Thursday 5th October 2023. We had such an amazing day last year with everyone joining in for a fun lunch with their teachers with an exciting special menu.

In order to maximise the amount of funding we receive, we would like to encourage ALL children to enjoy a Friendship Lunch together again on Thursday. On this occasion, the school will order a lunch for all children in receipt of universal free school meals (Reception to year 2) and would encourage other years groups to access school lunches on this day also.

We have an exciting menu planned for Thursday (see attached) consisting of:

Red: Crispy Chicken Burger

Green: Veggie Burger (V)

Yellow: Cream Cheese Baguette

all served with Chips, Pasta, Peas and Sweetcorn

For dessert:

• Ice Cream and Cake
