This week Year 1 have been learning all about the seasons and weather in Science, including learning the months of the year song and thinking about how many hours are in the day. 

In English we have been doing some writing titled 'All about me' after reading some poems written about ourselves, and in Maths we have looked at equal values of numbers and groups using various objects and pictures. The children seemed to really enjoy PE this week where we introduced hockey again after they were taught it by the PE coach.

In RE, we recapped our discussion about what religion is and where things come from, and looked at the Creation story. Nelly the elephant joined us in PSHE circle time to share our thoughts around emotions and what we do if someone is feeling sad. 

We have also started practising our song 'Cauliflower Fluffy' which we will be performing in our Harvest Festival next Friday.
