Hi everyone,

This week Year 1 have been introduced to subtraction in Maths and in English we have been thinking about when to introduce question marks and exclamation marks into our sentences. We have really enjoyed this, acting out ways to think of using exclamation marks such as 'Ahh there's a monster in my bed!'.

We have continued geography this week and have collaboratively made some big map drawings of our playground as well as where we live. For a display with Year 1 we looked at the Dr Seuss book 'Oh the places you'll go' and talked about words related to positivity such as 'kindness', 'teamwork' and 'love'. 

Our week ended with some artwork in pairs thinking back to when we learnt about different types of lines, and drawing pictures inspired by the sea.
