    Dear Parents/Carers,

We are excited to let you know about a special little project we’re organising to celebrate Number Day this year, which marks its incredible 25th anniversary! Number Day is a wonderful opportunity to promote the joy of maths, inspiring children to engage with numbers in creative and meaningful ways.

To join in the celebration, we at Saffron Green  would like your child to create a fun scenario on an A4 sheet of paper that showcases addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, or percentages, with the result being 25.

This is a chance for the children to let their imaginations run wild! They can use:

    • Colouring
    • Sticking
    • Painting
    • Cartoon sketches or doodles

    For example:

    • Drawing a cartoon with characters sharing sweets using division.
    • Number Blocks in action
    • Creating a colourful scene where 25 apples are added or subtracted.
    • Designing a pattern or artwork involving percentages or fractions leading to 25.

Once completed, we will gather all the contributions and create a vibrant mural to proudly display in celebration of Number Day.

Every child that make one will have a point for their house .

We kindly ask that your child brings their finished piece to school by Tuesday 4th February 2025.

Thank you for helping us make this a memorable and meaningful event for the children!
