FAO: Whole School : Important Information Regarding Allergy Meals and Late Meal Orders28 January 2025 (by Amy Salsbury (admin)) |
Dear Parents / Carers,
We would like to address two important matters regarding school meals:
Allergy Meals
We have recently received several requests for allergy-specific meals. While we aim to support all our pupils, Hertfordshire Catering Services has informed us that a child can only be provided with an allergy menu if they have been diagnosed with an allergy and have supporting medical documentation.
If your child does not have a formal allergy diagnosis, the advice is to send them to school with a packed lunch. If you choose not to send a packed lunch, we will require an email sent to the school office stating that you take full responsibility for managing your child’s meal orders. Please note that Hertfordshire Catering Services and the school cannot be held liable in such cases.
Late Meal Orders
Additionally, the kitchen has seen an increase in late meal orders, which is becoming challenging to manage. To ensure the kitchen runs smoothly:
- Children arriving at school after 9:00am will only be offered a cold option (sandwich) for lunch.
- Children arriving after 9:30am will need to bring a packed lunch from home.
We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines to ensure we can continue to provide a safe and efficient meal service for all pupils.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
