Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have all had a wonderful half term and enjoyed some well-deserved time together as a family.
As we approach the final stretch of Year 4, I would like to take a moment to commend all the children for their hard work and effort in practicing their times tables in preparation for the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) post half term. This is a vital assessment, and your support at home has played a significant role in their preparation. Just a reminder that the MTC will consist of 25 questions, to be completed within a set time frame of 6 seconds per question, with a 3-second pause in between.
I would also encourage the children to reflect on the past half term and think about how they can maintain their focus and effort as we head towards the final part of Year 4. It is essential for them to show respect and consideration to their peers, reinforcing the positive learning environment we aim to create in our classroom.
Additionally, I am pleased to announce that Miss Harris will be joining us as an assistant teacher after the half term. She will be available in the mornings to support the children further in their learning, and I am confident her presence will enhance our classroom experience.
Thank you once again for your continued support. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Warm regards,
Mr. Brooke
